Delete your account and data
Shuttle Tracker is published by CUCSU, owned by CU ICT Cell, and developed by Shakib Rahman Hisan.
Email CU ICT Cell support to request deletion of your board registration and associated data, or your trip data. In the app, Settings & info → Legal & your rights prepares the request with the relevant identifier automatically.
You can request deletion here without installing or signing into the app. If you no longer have the app, include your board ID if known and explain what you want deleted. Support will explain the information needed to identify and verify your request. Do not send passwords or session credentials. Without enough identifying information, support may be unable to locate your data.
Send account and trip-data requests separately to keep your university identity separate from your movements. Opening an email draft does not submit the request: review it and send it from your email app. You can also write directly to the address below.
Deleting your data, or asking what we hold
There is no login, so we need the identifier your data is filed under in order to find it, and which one depends on what you are asking about. Your trip reports are filed under your session identifier; your board registration, and everything posted under it, is filed under your board ID. Under “Settings & info → Legal & your rights”, the app offers a separate request for each type of data this phone holds. The trip identifier is hidden in Settings and added to its request email automatically. The website shows the same identifier under Settings and links here, which is where to send it.
If you want both deleted, send both requests. The app deliberately writes them as two separate emails: a single message naming both identifiers would create exactly the link between your name and your movements that this policy says does not exist, so we would rather ask you for a second tap than build that link ourselves.
You can break the first link yourself at any time: on Android, Settings → Apps → Shuttle Tracker → Storage → Clear data makes the phone forget its session identifier, and on the website, clearing this site’s data in your browser does the same, so later reports are no longer connected to earlier ones. That does not delete what the server already holds — for that, send the request before clearing app data.
Clearing the app’s data does not delete your board registration, and doing so cannot be undone. The account stays on our server, but your phone loses the only proof that it is yours — so you would not be able to use it or register again with the same university ID. If you want the registration gone, send the request instead of clearing the data.
Send requests to support.ict@cu.ac.bd. CUCSU aims to answer within 30 days. You can ask for a list of what is held, the removal of specific posts or reports, the deletion of everything tied to your session, or the deletion of your board registration together with the posts and votes filed under it.
One limit stated plainly: without the identifier we cannot tell which rows are yours, so we cannot delete specific data for someone who cannot supply it.
How long it is kept
Live GPS pings: a job running every minute deletes every ping older than two minutes. The raw positions you send therefore exist for a few minutes at most.
Published train position: only the latest position per direction is kept; each new fusion overwrites the previous one.
Anonymous speed points: some position and speed points are kept with no session identifier, to improve the route and ETA model. They are not linked to a phone or a session.
Board posts: they leave the board when they expire. The row stays in the database until it is removed on request or by moderation.
Votes: kept for as long as the post they belong to, so one person cannot vote twice. Since an expired post’s row is not deleted on a schedule, in practice that means they are kept until the post is removed on request or by moderation.
Board registrations: kept until you ask us to delete them. There is no schedule and no expiry — a registration is the one thing here that outlives both the app and the posts made under it, and uninstalling does not remove it.
Crowdedness reports, station arrival times and the session record: these are not deleted on an automatic schedule today; they are deleted on request. A periodic cleanup of inactive sessions is being added.
Server logs: kept for a short period under the hosting provider’s own retention, and not used to build profiles.
Backups: our database provider’s backups may hold a copy of deleted data for a few days. Deleted data is not restored from a backup except in a full-system recovery.
আপনার অ্যাকাউন্ট ও তথ্য মুছে ফেলুন

বোর্ড নিবন্ধন ও সংশ্লিষ্ট তথ্য অথবা ট্রিপের তথ্য মুছে ফেলতে CU ICT Cell-এর সহায়তা ঠিকানায় ইমেইল করুন। অ্যাপের সেটিংস ও তথ্য → আইনি তথ্য ও আপনার অধিকার থেকে অনুরোধ করলে প্রয়োজনীয় আইডি স্বয়ংক্রিয়ভাবে যুক্ত হয়।
অ্যাপ ইনস্টল বা সাইন ইন না করেও এখানে অনুরোধ করতে পারবেন। অ্যাপটি আর না থাকলে জানা থাকলে বোর্ড আইডি দিন এবং কোন তথ্য মুছতে চান তা লিখুন। আপনার অনুরোধ শনাক্ত ও যাচাই করতে কী তথ্য প্রয়োজন, সহায়তা দল জানাবে। পাসওয়ার্ড বা সেশনের গোপন তথ্য পাঠাবেন না। যথেষ্ট শনাক্তকারী তথ্য না থাকলে আপনার তথ্য খুঁজে পাওয়া সম্ভব নাও হতে পারে।
বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের পরিচয়ের সঙ্গে যাতায়াতের তথ্য যুক্ত না করতে অ্যাকাউন্ট ও ট্রিপের জন্য আলাদা অনুরোধ পাঠান। ইমেইলের খসড়া খোলাই অনুরোধ পাঠানো নয়; যাচাই করে ইমেইল অ্যাপ থেকে পাঠান। নিচের ঠিকানায় সরাসরিও লিখতে পারেন।
আপনার তথ্য মুছে ফেলা বা জানতে চাওয়া
কোনো লগইন নেই, তাই আপনার তথ্য খুঁজে পেতে সেই আইডিটি লাগে যার অধীনে তথ্যটি জমা আছে — কোনটি লাগবে তা নির্ভর করে আপনি কী নিয়ে জানতে চাইছেন তার ওপর। আপনার ট্রিপ রিপোর্ট জমা থাকে সেশন আইডির অধীনে; আর আপনার বোর্ড নিবন্ধন ও তার অধীনে করা সবকিছু জমা থাকে বোর্ড আইডির অধীনে। "সেটিংস ও তথ্য → আইনি বিষয় ও আপনার অধিকার"-এ এই ফোনের প্রতিটি ধরনের তথ্যের জন্য আলাদা অনুরোধের বোতাম থাকে। ট্রিপের আইডি সেটিংসে দেখানো হয় না; অনুরোধের ইমেইলে স্বয়ংক্রিয়ভাবে যুক্ত হয়। ওয়েবসাইটের সেটিংসেও একই আইডি দেখানো হয় এবং এই পাতার লিংক দেওয়া থাকে; অনুরোধ এখানেই পাঠাতে হবে।
দুটিই মুছতে চাইলে দুটি অনুরোধই পাঠান। অ্যাপ ইচ্ছাকৃতভাবে এ দুটিকে আলাদা ইমেইল হিসেবে লেখে: একই বার্তায় দুটি আইডি থাকলে আপনার নাম ও আপনার যাতায়াতের মধ্যে ঠিক সেই যোগসূত্রটিই তৈরি হয়ে যেত যেটি এই নীতিমালা বলে নেই — তাই আমরা নিজেরা সেই যোগসূত্র বানানোর বদলে আপনাকে আরেকটি ট্যাপ করতে বলছি।
প্রথম সংযোগটি আপনি নিজেও যেকোনো সময় ছিন্ন করতে পারেন: অ্যান্ড্রয়েডে Settings → Apps → Shuttle Tracker → Storage → Clear data দিলে ফোন তার সেশন আইডি ভুলে যায়, আর ওয়েবসাইটে ব্রাউজার থেকে এই সাইটের ডেটা মুছে দিলে একই ফল হয়; ফলে পরের রিপোর্টগুলো আর আগেরগুলোর সঙ্গে যুক্ত থাকে না। তবে এতে সার্ভারে আগে জমা থাকা তথ্য মুছে যায় না — তার জন্য অ্যাপের ডেটা মুছে ফেলার আগে অনুরোধ পাঠাতে হবে।
অ্যাপের ডেটা মুছে ফেললে আপনার বোর্ড নিবন্ধন মুছে যায় না, এবং এই কাজটি ফেরানোও যায় না। অ্যাকাউন্টটি সার্ভারে থেকে যায়, কিন্তু সেটি যে আপনারই তার একমাত্র প্রমাণ ফোন থেকে হারিয়ে যায় — ফলে আপনি সেটি আর ব্যবহার করতে পারবেন না, একই বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় আইডি দিয়ে নতুন করে নিবন্ধনও করতে পারবেন না। নিবন্ধন মুছতে চাইলে ডেটা মুছে ফেলার বদলে অনুরোধটি পাঠান।
অনুরোধ পাঠান support.ict@cu.ac.bd ঠিকানায়। CUCSU ৩০ দিনের মধ্যে উত্তর দেওয়ার লক্ষ্য রাখে। আপনি চাইতে পারেন — কী কী তথ্য আছে তার তালিকা, নির্দিষ্ট পোস্ট বা রিপোর্ট মুছে ফেলা, আপনার সেশনের সব তথ্য মুছে ফেলা, অথবা আপনার বোর্ড নিবন্ধন এবং তার অধীনে থাকা পোস্ট ও ভোটসহ সবকিছু মুছে ফেলা।
একটি সীমাবদ্ধতা খোলাখুলি বলা দরকার: আইডি ছাড়া কোন সারি আপনার তা আমরা নিশ্চিত করতে পারি না, তাই আইডি দিতে না পারলে নির্দিষ্ট তথ্য মুছে দেওয়া সম্ভব হয় না।
কতদিন রাখা হয়
লাইভ জিপিএস পিং: প্রতি মিনিটে চলা একটি কাজ দুই মিনিটের চেয়ে পুরোনো সব পিং মুছে দেয়। অর্থাৎ আপনার পাঠানো কাঁচা অবস্থান কয়েক মিনিটের বেশি থাকে না।
প্রকাশিত ট্রেনের অবস্থান: প্রতিটি দিকের জন্য কেবল সর্বশেষ অবস্থানটি রাখা হয়; নতুন হিসাব আগেরটির ওপর লিখে দেয়।
বেনামি গতি-বিন্দু: রুট ও ETA উন্নত করতে অবস্থান ও গতির কিছু বিন্দু কোনো সেশন আইডি ছাড়াই রাখা হয় — এগুলো কোনো ফোন বা সেশনের সঙ্গে যুক্ত নয়।
বোর্ডের পোস্ট: মেয়াদ শেষ হলে বোর্ড থেকে সরে যায়। অনুরোধে বা মডারেশনে মুছে না দেওয়া পর্যন্ত সারিটি ডেটাবেসে থাকে।
ভোট: সংশ্লিষ্ট পোস্ট যতদিন থাকে ততদিন, যাতে একই ব্যক্তি দুবার ভোট দিতে না পারে। যেহেতু মেয়াদ শেষ হওয়া পোস্টের সারি নির্দিষ্ট সময় পরপর মুছে ফেলা হয় না, বাস্তবে এর অর্থ — অনুরোধে বা মডারেশনে মুছে না দেওয়া পর্যন্ত ভোটও থেকে যায়।
বোর্ড নিবন্ধন: আপনি মুছে ফেলতে না বলা পর্যন্ত থেকে যায়। এর কোনো নির্দিষ্ট মেয়াদ বা স্বয়ংক্রিয় সময়সূচি নেই — এখানে উল্লেখিত সবকিছুর মধ্যে কেবল নিবন্ধনই অ্যাপ ও তার অধীনে করা পোস্টের চেয়ে বেশি দিন টিকে থাকে, এবং আনইনস্টল করলেও এটি মুছে যায় না।
ভিড়ের রিপোর্ট, স্টেশনে পৌঁছানোর সময় এবং সেশনের রেকর্ড: এগুলো এখনো নির্দিষ্ট সময় পরপর স্বয়ংক্রিয়ভাবে মুছে ফেলা হয় না; অনুরোধ পেলে মুছে ফেলা হয়। নিষ্ক্রিয় সেশন নিয়মিত মুছে ফেলার ব্যবস্থা যুক্ত করা হচ্ছে।
সার্ভার লগ: হোস্টিং সরবরাহকারীর নিজস্ব নিয়মে অল্প সময়ের জন্য থাকে এবং প্রোফাইল তৈরিতে ব্যবহার করা হয় না।
ব্যাকআপ: ডেটাবেস সরবরাহকারীর ব্যাকআপে মুছে ফেলা তথ্যের অনুলিপি অল্প কিছু দিন থাকতে পারে। পুরো সিস্টেম পুনরুদ্ধার ছাড়া ব্যাকআপ থেকে মুছে ফেলা তথ্য ফিরিয়ে আনা হয় না।
